  • Proven experience as production head

Skills

  • Plan and draw up a production schedule
  • Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales Assessing project and resource requirements
  • Determining quality control standards
  • Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
  • Liaising with buyers and marketing and sales staff
  • Monitor productivity rates and product standards and implement quality control programmes
  • Ensure customer orders are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met
  • Collate and analyse data, putting together production reports for both factory managers and customers
  • Supervise and motivate a team of workers
  • Review worker performance and identify training needs.
  • Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
  • Monitor production to resolve issues
  • Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
  • Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
  • Organise the repair of any damaged equipment, approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
  • Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials
  • Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations
  • Ensure output meets quality standards
  • Enforce health and safety precautions
  • Training and upgradation of team
  • Updating working processes to ensure accuracy and achievement of set goals
  • Developing and implementing lean principles
  • Ensuring effective execution of ERP software
